Over 1.6 million persons displaced from Donbas, Crimea

As of February 13, 2017, the Ministry of Social Policy has registered over 1 million 633 thousand internally displaced persons (IDPs), who had been forced to move from Crimea and the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

This has been reported by the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.

"As of February 13, 2017, according to the structural units of social protection at regional and city administrations, 1,633,346 internally displaced persons have been registered or 1,315,620 families from Donbas and Crimea," reads a statement.

According to the ministry, a total of 1,155,525 families applied for financial assistance, 1,069,922 of them obtained the assistance.
