The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in conjunction with the Embassy of Nigeria in Tripoli, Libya has repatriated 330 irregular Nigerian migrants from Libya.
The repatriated migrants, who arrived Lagos Thursday, February 28 2019, were flown in simultaneously on board two chartered Buraq Airline flights. The returnees were received by officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) and other relevant agencies.
Meanwhile, the federal government through a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has assured Nigerians that its embassy in Tripoli, will not relent but will continue to partner with relevant authorities to address the scourge of irregular migration by Nigerians in Libya.
