In 2020, up to 0.5 million employees from Ukraine, who will be looking for opportunities to earn more money in other European countries, may leave Poland, according to estimates by Personnel Service.
Experts also point out that Poland has the last chance to introduce an appropriate migration policy that will keep immigrants in our country and allow Poland to permanently fill the personnel gap.
The analysis shows that the mere announcement of Germany’s opening up to specialists from outside the European Union resulted in as many as 250,000 Ukrainians leaving Poland this year. Next year the number may even rise to 0.5 million. Accumulated forecasts are alarming. In 2020, the Polish market may be short of up to 1 million employees. A PwC forecast shows that by 2025 the Polish labour market will be short of 1.5 million people, which means a need to employ an additional 300,000 employees each year.
