Forty-three refugees and asylum seekers from Afghanistan left Greece on Tuesday for Portugal, according to the Migration and Asylum Ministry.
The transport was part of a bilateral agreement to relocate a total of 1,000 people to Portugal, the ministry said.
The relocation program is funded by Portugal’s Interior Ministry.
