Uzbekistan and Russia to sign 2 agreements on labour migration

The governments of Uzbekistan and Russia plan to sign 2 agreements on labour migration, reports RIA Novosti with reference to a source in the Ministry of Labour of Russia.

"Two intergovernmental agreements on labour migration will be signed in April," he said.

In particular, the agreement on the organized recruitment and employment of the citizens of Uzbekistan for the temporary labour activities on the territory of Russia is expected to be signed.

The second agreement proposes a mutual establishment of offices of the competent bodies of the two countries in migration sphere.

The documents are planned to be signed during the trip of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Russia.

According to the experts, currently there are about 3 million people (nearly one third of the working population) working abroad, in particular in Russia.
